He stood there, on the brow of the hill overlooking the plain below him. He had looked on this view for many years. Since he was a small boy in fact who was now a man. Below he could see the far off hills that was home to the next clan, clan of the stone. He knew all of this clan by name, including the new babyies. He also saw the hunting grounds over to left where he first killed a rabbit. When he was a boy that rabbit was big prey, it also had big teeth and his friends had laughed at him for being so carefull, but now he hunted men, evil and vicious men, men that would kill him and all he cared for.
In the middle of the plain he saw the women, his clan women, their shoulders flashing in the sun with their movement, sparks flying from the shields as if the sun was giving energy to them for the fight to come.
Behind him he could hear the chants of the men left behind. All wounded to some degree, some sure to die, most would recover but with scars to remember the battle by. The men created a low hum that only mens voices could make, he felt a stirring in his chest as he listened. He wished to go to the fight with his clan women but he was too weak. His wish was as strong as heart but his body was not, so he listened and was afraid. His fear was real, he knew what the clan women faced, he knew only to well the strength of the enemy they were leaving their homes, thier children, thier husbands, to protect them with their lives if necassary, and that they would surely do. They would Die, for they were no match for the evil that was heading towards them, and they that they were rushing too.
Suddenly he heard the womens voices singing, quiet at first, as if in a long tunnel, then growing louder. They were singing in unison with the men, they must have heard the sound and replying, raised thier voices too. His heart began to break, his life, as he knew it was tumbling around him. The woman he loved was down their, heading towards her death, yet he knew this was meant to be. Still, his heart broke and he cried.
He suddenly thought, I pity those evil men when these women get their hands on them, at this thought he smiled, because he knew what a woman was capable of when protecting that which she loved.

Are you planning on doing any spring cleaning this year? If so, please share a cleaning tip you swear by.
Write down on a piece of paper what you are going to do and then put that piece of paper in a drawer and forget about it. Sorted
